THREE COUNTIES MDC ONE DAY "OPEN" RALLY

SUNDAY 15TH NOVEMBER.

We have 350 acres of Ploughed and Pressed land in Buntingford, a Roman inhabited area of Hertfordshire.

In the centre of our site sits a Church and Moats that derive from the Saxon period.

Three counties club have been on a small part of this site whilst in stubble and had some fantastic finds including, a complete Palstave axe head, 2 parts of socketed axe heads, Roman coinage, Hammered coinage, Roman brooches, a spear head, Votive offerings plus various other bits and pieces.

The farmer has asked if we would like to search the whole 350 acres once he has ploughed and pressed it, but there is far too much for our club to manage.( I think the Staffordshire Hoard has got him excited)

Because there is so much land, we need as many people on here as we can get, therefore the fee for this dig is

"ONLY" £10 per head, Paid on the day.

There will be Toilets and a Snack Van on site, selling Hot and Cold Food and Drinks

(the prices WILL NOT be inflated)

Detecting will commence at 9am till Dusk

well, i would like to do a day's detecting with the brothers in wales  anyone fancy going???

I would be happy to go on a detecting rallly as i have never been to any.
